Levies
A monthly levy is payable by all cottage owners and is utilised to cover the day-to-day running costs of each facility. The amount of each levy varies according to the facilities in each unit.
The levies cover:
- The daily luncheon mentioned above,
- Administration expenses, staff salaries and wages,
- Municipal services, Building insurance, cleaning and security
- Maintenance of buildings, security fencing, service vehicles, gardens, pathways and internal roads
- On site nursing care and basic clinic facilities
The levy does not cover:
- Electricity consumed in the cottages, if a separate meter has been installed,
- Insurance of the contents of a unit,
- The maintenance of the interior of a unit.
For the assisted living suites and the frail care units a monthly rental is charged which covers all meals and 24-hour care.
On a Monday we have a hairdresser who attends to the ladies requests.
Once a week our bus takes non-driving residents into town to do their own shopping.
Access to or sick-bay is available free of charge for 7 days per annum.
